Where, oh where, did December go? This year it passed in a blur and I'm afraid I'm going to be skidding into Christmas rather than the orderly and carefully orchestrated celebration I imagined back in October. Oh well. Christmas Day for us will be ham and eggs for breakfast (my family's tradition) with plenty of hot coffee, followed by a mid afternoon barbecue. We haven't planned the BBQ yet, but I'm thinking we might end up cooking seafood. My new favourite foods are mussels and chill calamari (thank you buffet Christmas party at the Stamford for introducing me to these fabulous delicacies). And then there is dessert to plan. I'm not buying a pudding or custard or fruit mince tarts this year (first time ever). As the only person in my family who eats them, I'm in a bind. I love them, but I don't love them when I see them heading to my hips. Instead we're going to have either a pavlova or a chocolate/cherry trifle - something a bit different. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. It will be 2014 before I post again, so to everyone who's been with me throughout the year, thanks for coming round. I hope you have a sensational Christmas celebration and that the new year brings you everything you've dreamed of. Merry Christmas to all. Comments are closed.
