My day job involves sitting at a desk in a windowless workspace and there are some days its so full on I don't see the outside world at all.
So Thursday has become "walking lunch day" - no matter what else is happening, I take a muesli bar and a water bottle and see what I can see in the 30 minutes I have. My new work is five minutes from Southbank and the parklands and the aim is to explore a bit more each week to see what else is close by. Getting outside is one of the ways I like to "refill the well" and jump start my creativity. How do you get your creative juices flowing? 17/2/2015 02:35:34 am
I find nature incredibly inspirational. And I think if I worked within walking distance of South Bank I'd be over there every day. The gardens there are absolutely stunning at the moment. So for me, getting the creative juices flowing usually involves a little day dreaming, which is fortunate because I've always been inclined to day dream. I find sitting in the garden surrounded by trees helps. The waterfront is another place I love to sit and stare out at the islands and the boats. And coffee shops, especially the quirky little coffee houses.

Hi Danielle - If I had time I'd be at Southbank everyday too. Sitting under the shade of a tree and thinking. With a coffee. Oh, I so want to go and do that right now. Happy writing. Fi xx Comments are closed.
